MEET LATINGE ARTIST  Lina

"My soul longs to be surrounded by beauty since childhood. 

I was born in Lithuania  in the period of time, when it was occupied by the Soviet Union.  And this period - until 1990, when Lithuania regained its independence- was very tied up in many ways, including  empty and very poor shop assortment.

Many Lithuanian women, my mom and grandma included, were very creative and made hand crafted interesting clothes by themselves. So I grew up  with the motto “If I can‘t buy what I like, I can create it by myself“. My mom and grandma helped me to learn skills and craft all my ideas since I was teenager, as they were good at design and sewing.

The desire to create dawned in childhood and the pleasure of the process itself and the happily burning eyes of  those who wear my artworks, is the best motivation for me to keep going on this path.
